Laura Zindel

Laura Zindel obtained her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1985 and her MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1993. After graduation, Laura taught at San Francisco City College and the Academy of Art College in California, during which time she developed her individual style of ceramics that can be seen today. Inspired by nature, her hand-built ceramic pieces are slip-cast from white earthenware clay. The finely detailed drawings of insects, animals and other natural forms that adorn her pieces are drawn by Laura, printed with enamel ink, and bonded to the surface of the pottery. The result is a seamless, beautiful piece, which can be functional or decorative.
