Pat Gough founded LUA in 2010 after traveling to Southeast Asia. She was completely taken by the beauty and quality of natural silk, as well as the traditional techniques and craftsmanship that goes into making hand-woven, hand-dyed scarves. Pat partners directly with the farmers and artisans to create fair-trade handmade scarves in a range of watercolors. She spends her time designing and creating ideas at her Los Angeles loft space studio in between her visits abroad. She is committed to using plant-based and natural fibers that are eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-polluting.
