Ichcha was founded by three sisters, Rachna, Ruchika, and Monika, with a desire to preserve and promote handmade textiles that are slowly losing against the world. Thus, the women created Ichcha, or 'a wish', to live and encourage people to live consciously and to be aware of the environment, as well as the value and life of the products created and sought. The three sisters create a line of textiles including scarves, curtains, pillows, and kitchenware. They work from their NYC studio and travel to India 1-2 times a year to work on their designs with the artisan families. Their beautiful designs start with a drawing on paper, then onto the software, to a hand carved block and then finally to the block printing process.
