Eugene Watson

ugene Watson's interest in woodworking began in his childhood. Despite his schooling in electronic technology, he ultimately chose to pursue woodworking, founding his company Watson Woodworks in 1990. Since then he has been honored with many awards, including Best of Show by Pioneers Museum in 2003. Eugene's boxes are handmade from woods such as maple, ebony, rosewood. The pieces are sculptural as much as they are functional, and there's a wondrous sense of playfulness and drama to his one-of-a-kind designs. Whether given as a gift or purchased for personal use, his boxes will be treasured as much as what is placed inside.
