Studio Paran

Richard Jones began drawing at an early age, which took him down a path that led to a BFA in glass from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. Since then, he has worked with and for other glass artists until taking over Studio Paran in 2006. Richard's work is influenced by Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. To Richard, creating a vase is a means to bridge the gap between human creation and the organic landscape. The simplicity of his forms and his use of beautiful glass colors create a calming, meditative feel.
